South Bend's Social Engineer

This is but a preview of the portrait session I had to day with David Matthews of South Bend IN. It is but part of a larger photo series I will be finishing up in a few weeks on young men of the Michiana area that are making major moves by investing their time, talents, and finances in our community.

For all of you film buffs out there, this was shot on Kodak T-MAX 100 ISO B&W film that expired 14 years ago with a Mamiya M645 Medium Format Camera.

Major thanks to Grant Beachy of Electric Angel Studios for facilitating the hand processing and scanning of this outstanding portrait.

Fire & Ice

When the sun stops looking epic, I'll stop taking photos of it.

A Late Night Collaboration.

A study in movement. (NSFW)

I wouldn't consider myself an artist per se, but it is always a pleasure working with those that do. You can see Alli's work at http://www.alliwynn.com/ .

Shiny Disco Ball.

I was shooting a wedding with Grant Beachy in Ohio over the weekend and we encountered the king of terrible wedding DJ's. He was rude, disorganized, and made our jobs very difficult. Though, he did bring this snazzy disco ball....

The Heist Photo Booth

Film Project 2014: Bianca at dusk.

Last week I had a chance to work with the always awesome Bianca. We did the shoot "normally" with a digital camera, but just for the fun of it, I pulled out the Mamiya M645 loaded with Portra 400 film.

There Goes The Sun

I was a bit afraid to process my own color film by hand, but I think the result speaks for itself.

Mr and Mrs Matt and Ashley Marlow

If every man spoke and acted as kindly and as lovingly as Matt does to his wife Ashley, they would put the divorce lawyers out of business overnight.
